I always laughed when people used to tell me that time goes faster the older you get. Well, I guess I am older, because now I see what they mean.
I want to recap the 2018 highlights for my readers. It was such a full year—full of joy, sadness, changes, you know, LIFE!
Life Happenings
Mr. Cowgirl Boots and Running Shoes and I traveled to Miami and Minneapolis (thanks to his employers). It was much-needed time together. We celebrated 11 years in October, but with three kids, alone time is rare!
I took the girls to San Antonio to visit my best friend and her family. It was the girls’ first time on a plane, so you can imagine it was very exciting! They both did great! It was SO wonderful to see my bestie!
The baby had surgery to remove a (thankfully benign) neck lump and Matthew had surgery to repair his ruptured patellar tendon on his knee (thanks alumni basketball tournament). We are so grateful to everyone who helped us out during those times. We also received amazing care at Rapid City Regional Hospital for both surgeries.
I traveled to Indianapolis for the Beachbody Coach Summit and had a blast working out live with my favorite trainers and spending time with my team.
I also got to travel to Denver to the NCBA to learn about agriculture sustainability from one of the most respected voices in the industry, Dr. Sara Place. I have enjoyed putting my new knowledge to work in my beef advocacy efforts.
I committed to furthering my education in nutrition, and turned my passion into a career—I am now a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. I am coaching clients locally and virtually, and judging by the fact that it was my most popular post on IG, I guess others are excited too!
Speaking of IG, one of my other most popular pictures of 2018 was this one—so I guess you could say that I am still loving sharing my view from and about the farm!
Blog Happenings
As for the blog—my most viewed and shared post of 2018 was this one, by a long shot! Have you read it?
The most viewed recipe this year (even though it’s from 2016) happens to be perfect for this COLD time of year:
Yum!
The End!
Well, it’s the end of 2018, but I KNOW 2019 has so much good in store for Cowgirl Boots and Running shoes!
I am so grateful to you all for hanging out with me this year, and I can’t wait to spend 2019 continuing this journey with you!
Peace and Blessings in the new year!
XOXO,
Michaela
