I don’t care what you eat.
More precisely, I don’t care if the food you eat was grown or raised organically or conventionally.
What I do care about is that you make that decision based on facts.
Not because someone told you that organic food is “healthier” (it’s not).
Not because someone told you that organic meat is “raised more humanely” (it’s not) or is “better for the environment” (it’s not).
It’s unfortunate that many influencers and those in the fitness industry blindly spread misinformation while actually being far removed from the facts of how food is actually produced.
Next time you hear a claim about food, I’m asking you to stop and consider the source. Has this person ever been to a farm or a ranch? Do they have experience on a farm or ranch, or raising or growing food? Do they have education or training (and Google doesn’t count as education) in nutrition or agriculture or sustainability?
I don’t care what you choose to eat, but I do care that you make those choices based on facts, not because someone used fear to play to your emotions.
Food choices should not cause confusion or anxiety or guilt or fear.
I want you to know that if you have questions about how food is grown or raised, I am happy to help answer them. If I don’t know the answer, I know of someone who does!
I want you to be as confident in your food choices as I am.
All my best,
Michaela
